My photography often reflects a lifelong interest in science, music, and language. My artistic vision includes our precarious and precious presence on this amazing world. Taken together, a large part of my mission is finding and expressing the magical or the poignant in the ordinary.
I love the stark, magnificent beauty of Winter. My feelings, however, are tempered by the realization that the season continues to get milder, on average, as time progresses. This photography exhibit celebrates one not-so-simple element of Winter: Ice as I have found it over the years in wintry lakes, ponds, rivers, streams, and other situations close to home. May we all enjoy such icescapes for many years to come.
